Delete your GO SPORTZ account and data

Last updated 12 August 2026. This page explains how to delete your GO SPORTZ account and the data held with it, and what happens to that data. The GO SPORTZ app is provided by GO SPORTZ Limited (company number 17374436).

Delete your profile in the app

You can delete your profile at any time from inside the GO SPORTZ app:

Children do not manage their own deletion. A parent or guardian, who creates and controls the child's account, deletes the player's profile on their behalf.

Leaving one club, or deleting your profile

A parent can be linked to more than one coaching company on the same profile, so there are two separate actions:

What is deleted

When you delete a profile, the everyday personal data held for it is deleted straight away. This includes:

Card details are never held by GO SPORTZ in the first place. They are handled by the payment providers, Stripe and PonchoPay.

What we have to keep, and for how long

A small number of records must be kept by your coaching company after a profile is deleted, because UK law requires it. These are locked away, kept out of the app, used only for the legal reason they exist, and then deleted automatically once the period ends. They are:

The exact retention periods are set out in the agreement between GO SPORTZ and each coaching company. For more on how data is handled, see the platform privacy notice.

Who controls your data

Your coaching company is the controller for its members' records and decides what must be kept. GO SPORTZ Limited operates the platform and carries out the deletion on their behalf. If your child is linked to more than one club, each club keeps only its own required records, on its own schedule.

If you cannot use the app

If you are unable to delete your profile in the app, email us at team@gosportz.co.uk with the name on the account. We will action the request and confirm what has been deleted, and what, if anything, must be kept and for how long.
