App and platform terms
Who we are, and what these terms cover
The GO SPORTZ app and platform are provided by GO SPORTZ Limited. Company number: registration in progress · Registered office: to be confirmed · Contact email: to be confirmed.
These terms apply to parents, players and coaches using the app. Coaching companies contract with us separately under a club agreement.
The most important thing to understand
Your coaching is provided by your club, not by GO SPORTZ. We provide the software the club uses to run its sessions and take bookings. When you book a session you are entering a contract with that coaching company. They set the prices, the schedule, the joining rules and their own refund and cancellation policy, and they are responsible for the coaching, the venue, supervision and safeguarding at their sessions.
If a session is cancelled, a coach does not turn up, or you want a refund, that is a matter for your club. We can help with anything that is a fault in the software.
Accounts
- You must give accurate information when you create an account and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be 18 or over to create a parent account.
- Tell us or your club promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Children's accounts
- Accounts and profiles for children are created and controlled by a parent or guardian.
- A child gets app access only if a parent chooses to grant it. It is never automatic, and a parent can withdraw it at any time.
- By setting up a profile for your child you confirm you have parental responsibility for them.
- You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the app.
Payments
- Payments are taken by Stripe or PonchoPay, depending on what your club uses. PonchoPay also accepts Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers. Their own terms apply to the payment itself.
- Money for sessions is collected for your coaching company. GO SPORTZ charges the club a fee on bookings; you are not charged anything extra by us for using the app.
- Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by GO SPORTZ.
- Refunds and cancellations are handled by your club under their policy.
Player development features
- Levels, badges, XP, homework challenges and exercise tracking are there to encourage children and give parents visibility of progress.
- Badges and feedback are awarded by coaches at your club, using their judgement. They are an encouragement tool, not a formal assessment, qualification or talent selection.
- Exercise and activity figures are estimates recorded through the app and should not be relied on as medical or fitness advice.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not upload photographs or video of other people's children, and respect the media consent choices recorded for each session.
- Do not attempt to access accounts, clubs or records that are not yours, or to probe, scrape or disrupt the platform.
- Do not use the app to contact other families for marketing or any purpose unrelated to the coaching.
- We may suspend or remove access where these rules are broken, or where we are asked to by your club on safeguarding grounds.
Content you provide
You keep ownership of anything you upload. You grant us and your club the permission needed to store and display it so the service works. You are responsible for having the right to upload it in the first place.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features as the product develops. Where a change materially reduces what the app does, we will give notice through the app.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that: the app is provided free of charge to parents and players, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by us breaking these terms, and we are not responsible for loss arising from the coaching service itself, which is your club's responsibility, or for events outside our reasonable control. Liability caps and the split of responsibility with clubs to be confirmed on legal review.
Ending your use
- You can stop using the app at any time and ask your club to close your account.
- Your club may remove your access if you stop being a member.
- We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
- Some records, such as bookings, payments and accident reports, are kept by your club after an account closes where they must be. The platform privacy notice explains this.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will tell you in the app about changes that materially affect you. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can bring proceedings in your own country.
